These fruit bars are so darn good, and are a perfect treat for the holidays or summer picnic and can be made with your favorite jam.

1 ½ cup uncooked oats
1 cup walnuts
½ Tsp baking soda’
1 ½ cubes Butter
One cup Sugar
1 ¾ cup flour
1 1/2 Fruit Preserves
Add dry ingredients to a bowl

Mix dry ingredients,

Melt the butter and pour over the dry ingredients.

Press in a pan reserving some for the topping.

Spread with jam

and add the reserved crumbles.

Bake at 350 degrees until light golden brown, typically the bars take about 25 minutes in the oven.

Once the bars done, carefully take them out of the oven. If you cut them while they are hot they turn into little delicious blobs. Wait for them to cool completely before cutting them into squares.

Fruit bars are an insanely easy snack to have on hand! Especially, after a long hard day at work, these bars will be a delicious treat. These fruit bars are so good! Instructions
