Spread the love

I started this blog because I thought it would be fun to be able to put the big book of the recipes that my grandmother created for our family online. So that friends and most importantly family to be able to easily access them without having the clutter of a book.

I have been cooking since I was a little girl with my grandmother. I loved going to her house and pulling a chair up to the counter to whip up cookies or whatever she was making!!! She loved to make her own jams, soups from scratch, breads, and party foods!! Pretty much anything she could think up to make she would make, she loved to cook and entertain. My grandfather also loved to entertain and would often spring spontaneous dinner parties on my grandmother at the last minute! She would just whip up dinner for crowds of people like it was seamlessly nothing.

Growing up cooking at my house was a bit of a challenge my mom had dull steak knifes to cut with because she was afraid I would cut myself, which made it extremely hard to chop up vegetables. My mom’s idea of cooking is also microwavable food which was another struggle, so I love going to my grandmother’s house because she had all of the latest cooking gadgets! She was always well prepared and never didn’t have anything!!!!

She was a very brilliant, classy woman, and this blog is in her honor.

I am also very crafty, which is why I started this blog!

I’m passionate about cooking, home projects, and making my own bath products. I love to make massage bars! When my honey has a long day at work, I can ease away his aches and pains. Store bought bars often have preservatives in them which can be harsh on your skin. I love the way my hands feel after using them.

I went to school for Fashion Design! Due to my passion for sewing, but after working for a few firms I decided it wasn’t my gig! However, I do have a passion to create! So here I am creating!
