4 LARGE EGGS

1/4 CUP OF MILK

1 TSP CINNAMON

1 TSP VANILLA

2 TSP BUTTER

1/2 CUP POWDERED SUGAR

THICK CUT FRENCH BREAD

STRAWBERRIES FOR GARNISH

IN A LARGE SHALLOW BOWL COMBINE EGGS, MILK, CINNAMON, VANILLA AND MIX WITH A FORK AND SET ASIDE..

IN A FRYING PAN MELT THE BUTTER OVER MEDIUM HEAT, THEN DIP THE BREAD IN THE EGG MIXTURE UNTIL COATED, AND FRY THE SLICES UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN FLIP AND COOK ON THE OTHER SIDE.

I LIKE TO PLACE THE COOKED SLICES IN THE OVEN ON THE KEEP WARM SETTING WHILE I CONTINUE COOKING THE REST OF THE FRENCH TOAST.

ONCE ALL THE SLICES ARE GOLDEN BROWN ON BOTH SIDES GARNISH WITH DUSTED POWDERED SUGAR, AND SLICE UP STRAWBERRIES.

THIS IRRISTISTABLE FRENCH TOAST BREAKFAST IS WHAT I ACTUALLY WAKE UP AND CRAVE FRENCH, IT IS A MUST HAVE IN MY HOME. I LOVE THE SMELL IN THE MORNINGS AND IT IS SO WONDERFUL WITH COFFEE! IT IS SO AMAZING AND I AM JUST IN HEAVEN!!!! MY FAVORITE BREAD TO USE IS THICK CUT FRENCH BREAD, VERY CRISPY ON THE OUTSIDE AND CUSTARD SOFT ON THE INSIDE. IT IS MELT IN YOUR MOUTH DELICIOUS!

Note about French Toast

CLASSIC FRENCH TOAST RECIPES USE STALE BREAD, BUT I ALWAYS OPT TO USE FRESH BREAD. A TRICK TO MAKING FRENCH TOAST IS TO COAT THE BREAD WITH THE EGG MIXTURE RATHER QUICKLY. DO NOT LET THE BREAD SOAK IN THE EGG MIXTURE JUST A QUICK DIP TO COAT THE BREAD. IF THE BREAD IS IN THE EGG MIXTURE TOO LONG THE TOAST DOES NOT COOK RIGHT AND WILL BE WAY TOO SOFT IN THE MIDDLE, WHICH WILL NOT TASTE QUITE SO GOOD.
