Tips and tricks
When using apples for baking you want to choose apples that hold their shape when baking. The varieties that are great for baking are green granny smiths, honey crisp, braeburn, jonagold, and my favorite pink lady’s.
Before baking you can sprinkle the top with sugar
To serve the apple cake sprinkle the top with powdered sugar, top with sauce, whip cream or ice cream, or all three and serve!
