Sausage balls are a wonderful go to easy party appetizer and are also great for a Sunday brunch! They whipped together rather quickly! These would be great served at any catered event as they are very easy to eat.

This recipe could be made ahead and frozen very easily, as I chose to freeze about half of the mixture. You really could freeze these before or after baking, but I choose to freeze the sausage balls prior to baking because I thought that they would freeze better that way. This recipe makes about 2 dozen sausage balls and I knew we probably wouldn’t eat that many. Furthermore, I think it is nice to have things I can pull from the freezer, when I am feeling a little on the lazy side.
These sausage balls were a hit with my family and made for a very amazing Sunday Brunch. If you are not a fan of spicy foods this recipe would also be amazing with maple sausage.
