Fun things you have to do in Autumn
Autumn is the best season in my opinion because the trees change colors, and you get to wear cold weather clothes. Here are all of the fun things you have to do in Autumn before the season is over!
Some people love the crisp snowy days of winter, others love the bright colors of spring, and some love the hot long nights of summer. My favorite time of year has to be Autumn because of the crispy colorful leaves, warm snuggly clothes, pumpkins, the smell of bonfires at night and comforting food of autumn.

GO FOR AN AUTUMN WALK
Take a walk and admire the scenery around you and draw a closer look at the changing of the color in the trees, all the hues of gold, orange, and reds. Listen to the wind blow and enjoy a simple peaceful moment alone or with a friend. Walking is by far one of the most therapeutic things to do when you have the winter blues. Not only is it something healthy to do, but a good walk in the rain can make you feel alive!
GO FOR AN AUTUMN DRIVE
Not so healthy for the planet but definitely healthy for the soul! I love opening the sunroof and looking up while my sweetheart is driving and to have the rain hit my face. Something about it is so amazing, but I am one that loves this time of year and loves to be able to appreciate the small things in life. It is the small things that are taken for granted every day that make mundane days and turn them into something very special.
DECORATE YOUR HOME FOR AUTUMN
Make your porch inviting for guests, friends, and family gatherings! Use planters surrounded by a ton of mums, pumpkins, lanterns (real or fake) and gourds. Setting the table in fall’s most desired fabric, plaid! No need to go shopping, search your home or wardrobe for a plaid scarf, blanket or throw. If you have something nice laying around use it as a table runner or table cloth. You can also go to your local fabric store and pick up a yard or two of plaid to create a beautiful table runner and throw in solid colors to match.
MAKE AUTUMN LEAF ART
You can make fun animals out of the leaf’s, paint them fun colors and use them as stamps, or you can create leaf rubbing collage. The point is to just have fun creating whatever you want to! Take time out to be a kid again! Just take time to create whatever you want to.
FUN THINGS YOU HAVE TO DO IN AUTUMN ARE TO MAKE A BIG POT OF CHILI
My sweetie I think might go nuts if I do this, but I love a good pot of chili. It is by far one of my favorite winter comfort foods. I just might have to invite some friends over and make my grandmother’s favorite soup Chris’s Mexichili Soup She loved this recipe so much.
MAKE A HOT CARAMEL APPLE CIDER
Hot apple cider is amazing on a cold day. I love the hot apple cider packets. In the winter I usually have at least one a day! I love sipping it while I am working and it makes my day!
DRESS UP FOR HALLOWEEN
Who doesn’t love pretending they are something else like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! Good housekeeping has an amazing article giving great ideas for costumes based on food. I love their ideas for fun costumes! Maybe dressing up as ketchup and Mustard for Halloween isn’t your cup of tea? There are tons of other fun ideas. The point is that you dress up and have fun doing it!
HAVE A LAZY, COZY, SUNDAY AFTERNOON!
I love putting on an oversized sweater, cozy socks and making sure I am super cozy! I like to read a good book that I can not for the life of me put down with a cup of hot coffee or tea. If you find music relaxing, put on your favorite song and relax… But if meditation is your thing make sure that you practice on calm days. If you have kids send them off to their friends for the day and have a day to yourself. Something so important is making time for yourself no matter how hard it might seem. Try to make it a priority because if you do not prioritize yourself no one else will leave you empty. If your cup is depleted then you can’t give your best self. You can not pour from an empty cup. Take a bath! It is amazing what warm water will do to relax you.
